WINFOCUS Academy courses are based on the most recent evidence on Point of Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) practice and education and on the experience of teaching PoCUS courses on hundreds of occasions in more than fifty countries around the globe in the past 15 years.
WINFOCUS is committed to promoting and supporting the use of PoCUS by clinicians without regard to their socioeconomic status. As such, the charges for our educational products reflect regional variations in earnings, cost of living, and World Bank country categorization.
This allows us to fulfill better our mission to provide access to ultrasound education and teaching in every part of the world.

Pathophysiology-based approach
PoCUS mostly unveils pathophysiology and only sometimes allows a definite diagnosis. That’s why a significant amount of the educational content in the e-lectures explains the pathophysiological basis of the relevant PoCUS findings.
Evidence-based sonography approach
Based on a thorough review of the most updated PoCUS literature, the in-context accuracy for each ultrasound sign on which PoCUS use is based is described. This evidence is pragmatically summarized into reference values and qualitative parameters usable as guidance, especially for novice practitioners.
Clinical-sonographic integrated approach
Each e-course covers the basics of image acquisition, image interpretation, and detailed clinical integration of the information obtained with the various PoCUS applications for the clinical management of mainly critically ill patients
The hallmark of these e-courses is that they can either be attended as standalone by those willing to begin or to perfect their PoCUS knowledge or as an e-learning component of WINFOCUS courses in their new blended learning format, which would include focused, practical training as well.
