Stig Holm Ovesen

Stig Holm Ovesen, MD, PhD, is an Emergency Medicine resident with research interests in point-of-care ultrasound, acute imaging, artificial intelligence, and diagnostic decision-making.

He is affiliated with the Research Center for Emergency Medicine (RECEM) and the Aarhus University Radiology Research Unit (AURA), where he develops and collaborates on research focused on improving diagnostic pathways for acutely ill patients.

His work spans ultrasound, acute radiology, diagnostic accuracy, (de)implementation science, and value-based imaging strategies.

Stig serves as a Board Member and Research Fellow of WINFOCUS, Board Member of the Danish Medical Ultrasound Society (DMUS), and Associate Editor of The Ultrasound Journal.
