Kerri L. Novak

Dr. Novak is an academic gastroenterologist at the University of Calgary with expertise in the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

She started providing focused bowel US in clinic in 2012, after training in Germany and started the first IBD clinic to provide this, by GI in North America.

Kerri is the Chair of the Canadian Bowel US group, co chair of the North American  Alliance iUSCAN and President Elect of the International Bowel US Group (IBUS) based in Germany.

She trains people from all over the world in intestinal US including some radiologist. She believes in access to IUS and works hard to lobby for this tool in routine GI care.

She loves to go to the mountains with her teen daughters and dog Iggy and her patient husband.
