Hooman Hosein-nejad

Dr. Hooman Hosein-nejad is an Emergency Physician and a faculty member at Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

For nearly twenty years, he has been involved in educational, therapeutic, and research activities in the emergency department of Imam Hospital in Tehran.

He is among the first physicians to introduce and teach bedside ultrasound (POCUS) in the field of emergency medicine in Iran. Over the past decade, he has conducted numerous studies in the field of bedside ultrasound in emergency medicine  and critical care settings.

Additionally, he has held various positions, including the Deputy for Education in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the director of the Emergency Medicine Department at Tehran University of Medical Science(TUMS) as well as Educational Development Center (EDC).

He has also been responsible for clinical competency examinations at the medical school for about one decade.
