We are delighted and excited to announce the 1st WINFOCUS World Symposium (WF WS) on December 2nd, 2023.
In 2021, WINFOCUS organized the first-of-its-kind Virtual Congress with more than 18,800 registered participants from over 120 countries. Last year we replicated and expanded the event with a hybrid World Congress in Antalya, Turkey – combining face-to-face courses and multi-stream, multilingual, virtual sessions connecting colleagues worldwide. With more than 21.200 registered participants and 128 hours of lectures in 11 languages, WINFOCUS broke another record. These summed up to the fantastic Pocus One-world Workshop, through which 69 simultaneous ultrasound PoCUS workshops were conducted on December 3rd in 69 venues worldwide, involving 1544 participants: the largest ever PoCUS workshop organized!
At WINFOCUS, our mission has always been to push the boundaries of ultrasound – educational, clinical, and research. We do this by connecting colleagues from all over the world through our shared passion for ultrasound.
This year, we revert to a virtual symposium and want to celebrate our international community. The theme will be how ultrasound helps guide the various aspects of clinical procedures and interventions:
What’s new? We want to increase the interaction and discussion between colleagues. Expect plenty of debates and panel discussions, allowing you to share your thoughts, challenge the experts, and ask complex and thought-provoking questions. It is only through these open discussions that true learning takes place.
We are also excited to announce two exceptional new sessions, Members and Research choice sessions. The first will have educational content chosen by WINFOCUS members, while the second will set the direction of ultrasound research within WINFOCUS.
There will be something for everyone!
We hope you will join us enthusiastically and connect with colleagues worldwide through WINFOCUS World Symposium 2023.

Fluids, lines and beyond. Something for anyone who has looked after an acutely unwell patient. Also look out for WINFOCUS’s first ever member choice session. What do colleagues think should be the research priorities for the ultrasound community? Followed by speakers/subjects specifically nominated by our community. Stay a while and listen.

On December 3rd, we have organized hands-on ultrasound workshops globally in over 23 countries. In order to maximize PoCUS education accessibility, several of these workshops will be delivered for free in underserved areas of the planet, consistently with WINFOCUS vision and mission. The ultimate goal will be promoting awareness, in the global medical community and in the society at large, of PoCUS and ultrasound practice.
