Ana Margarida Ferreira

Dr. Ana Margarida Ferreira is a Portuguese specialist in Anaesthesiology and Emergency Medicine, with broad clinical experience in perioperative care, critical care ultrasound, airway management and pre-hospital emergency medicine.

She works at Hospital Vila Franca de Xira / Unidade Local de Saúde Estuário do Tejo, combining clinical practice with quality improvement, protocol development and clinical governance.

She holds the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care and has advanced training in critical care medicine and point-of-care ultrasound. Alongside her clinical activity, she is strongly committed to medical education.

As an Assistant at NOVA Medical School, she contributes to undergraduate teaching in basic life support and trauma training, while promoting the integration of ultrasound into undergraduate medical education.

She is also involved in postgraduate point-of-care ultrasound education as a member of WINFOCUS ITU Porto and is an active member of the Portuguese Society of Anaesthesiology Clinical Ultrasound Section.
